Marcin Krawczyk holds a senior physician position in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Saarland University Medical Centre in Homburg (Germany) and is the Head of the Laboratory of Metabolic Liver Diseases at the Medical University of Warsaw (Poland). In his studies, he aims to detect non-invasive markers of liver injury with special focus on the genetic determinants of chronic and acute liver diseases. In 2016, he received the award for the Best Young Researcher in biomedical sciences in Poland (by “Polityka”) and in year 2018 he was listed among Top Three under 40 Physician-Scientists in Poland.
